Beth
Ann’s series of Meditation Quilts are one-of-a-kind works of
art using African and African-motif textiles. The
designs are inspired by Spirit and develop organically, as a
process, from the inside out with no pre-conceived pattern
in mind. In order to maintain the integrity of the
original use of quilts, Beth Ann’s pieces are durable and
machine-washable. All pieces are hand-quilted by the artist.
The quilts invite the “participant” to engage physically as
well as spiritually in the energy of the work; the pieces
may be (and often are) displayed as art, but the intent is
that they also be available to provide physical comfort,
warmth, and connection to Spirit—that the “viewer” may be
touched by not just the image, but by the deeply sacred
essence of ‘the work.’
