INSPIRATION: Four
primary colours represent the four
directions from which deception can
occur—from within, from without, about
ourselves, and about others. At the top
of the piece is a slit in the quilt,
which indicates that it is possible to
“see through” deceptions which may be
present in our lives. |

DESCRIPTION:
The work is 100% cotton, machine-pieced,
hand-quilted by the artist. The blue,
red, gold, green, and white are fabrics
from Africa. The blue is embossed
brocade. The quilt is washable and
durable. |
